If you are parked in a Metropolis powered Scan-to-Park lot, you must start a visit by scanning the QR code posted on the signs around the lot. Members will pre-select the amount of time they would like to park, similar to a traditional parking meter.
Please note: You don't want to take a photo of the QR code, but hover your camera over the QR code, until it either opens a browser or a link appears that will take you to a new browser.

After scanning the QR codes on site, you will be directed to the location's information page to view the current rates.
Click "Start Parking" to initiate your parking visit.
Next, select the amount of time you would like to park based on the current rate structure.
Please note, just like a traditional meter, Metropolis is not responsible for any unused time. We recommend starting with a shorter period and extending as necessary.
After confirming your time, you will confirm your vehicle's license plate or add a new vehicle if necessary.
Once your vehicle information has been confirmed, your visit will begin.
After confirming your visit, you will be directed to your active visits page. You can add more time directly from this page by clicking "+Time".
If you are concerned about validating, don't be! You can still validate even if you've chosen a duration for your visit. The validation will go into effect first, before your payment is processed. If your validation covers the entire duration you chose to park, you will not be charged at the end of your visit. To ensure a smooth validation experience, please confirm your visit is of equal or lesser time to the validation you are applying.
Fifteen minutes before your visit ends you will receive a text message reminding you that your time is about to expire, and you can either use the link in the message or visit app.metropolis.io to extend your time. Note: Once a you receive a text message confirming your visit has been completed, you will not be able to extend your time further. You will have to contact help@metropolis.io to re-start a visit or return to the lot to scan the QR code again.
